Election Day is November 3

Important Dates

August 25: First day to request an absentee ballot.
October 14: First day of early voting and absentee ballots will begin being mailed out.
- Vote early in person at the Polk County Election Office (2309 Euclid Ave., Des Moines).
- Hours will be Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Satellite sites will be available on select days, as shown below.

October 19: Last day to request an absentee ballot;
- All requests MUST be at the Election Office by 5 p.m.
November 2: Last day for in-person early voting
November 3: Election Day!
- Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
- All absentee ballots must be returned to the Election Office by 8 p.m.. You can surrender your ballot at your polling location.
