There is a special election on September 8!
Ankeny residents will be voting on a Sales Tax measure.
Important Dates

June 30: First day to request an absentee ballot.

August 19: First day of early voting and absentee ballots will begin being mailed out.

Vote early in person at the Polk County Election Office (2309 Euclid Ave., Des Moines).

Hours will be Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

August 24: Last day to request an absentee ballot;

All requests MUST be at the Election Office by 5 p.m.

September 7: Last day for in-person early voting

September 8: Election Day!

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

All absentee ballots must be returned to the Election Office by 8 p.m.. You can surrender your ballot at your polling location.
